Meet The Attorney

My story begins at four years old, when I first sat at the piano. What started as childhood curiosity quickly became a lifelong discipline. I trained as a classical pianist, spending countless hours refining technique, expression, and musicality—developing not only my artistry but also the resilience, focus, and dedication that would guide me through every chapter of my professional life. Music was my first language, and it remains the heartbeat of everything I do.

At NYU where I began my collegiate studies, I expanded my relationship with the industry through storytelling. I began writing for publications such as EDMSauce and later became a managing editor at Dancing Astronaut. These are two of the most respected platforms in electronic dance music journalism. I interviewed rising and established artists, reviewed shows and releases, and offered commentary on the evolving culture of dance music. This role gave me a front-row seat to both the beauty and business of the music world—and it was there that I witnessed something that changed my trajectory entirely.

Behind the scenes, I saw how often artists were taken advantage of—signing away their rights in unfair contracts, losing ownership of their creative work, or struggling to navigate complex licensing agreements. I realized that while talent and vision were abundant, access to clear, protective legal guidance was not. That realization sparked my desire to become a lawyer for the artists—someone who could not only appreciate their craft, but also safeguard it.

I went on to attend New York Law School, where I focused on intellectual property, entertainment law, contract drafting, and copyright and trademark litigation. During law school, I interned with Hantman & Associates, a boutique law firm where I worked on entertainment-related disputes, and licensing negotiations. I also contributed to Cook Law Collective assisting in arbitration matters, IP enforcement, and rights protection for industry executives — developing my negotiation strategies, legal writing, and case management skills.

Academically, I graduated with honors from New York University in 2017, earning the prestigious Founders’ Day Award for academic excellence. I was also one of only 33 students in my graduating class to receive All-Academic All-Athletic Honors, recognizing the rare balance of competitive athletics and rigorous academics.

Today, I am a New Jersey-barred attorney, admitted to practice law in the state I call home, and pending admission to the New York Bar. I also serve as the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Impromptu Events LLC, an artist-first platform that helps musicians navigate the business side of their careers with integrity, ownership, and creative freedom.

My legal practice focuses on the crossroads of music, media, entertainment, and technology. Whether I’m reviewing a record deal, negotiating a sync license, assisting with trademark applications, or litigating a copyright issue, I bring to each client not just legal experience—but lived understanding of the creative process, and a personal commitment to artist empowerment.

At the heart of my work lies a deep belief: artists are the architects of culture, and their voices, visions, and creations deserve not only recognition—but protection, power, and longevity.

Too often, I’ve seen brilliant creatives pour their soul into their craft, only to be met with confusion, exploitation, or silence when it comes to their rights. The fine print in a contract. The song they no longer own. The name they built from nothing that now belongs to someone else. It’s not because they lack talent or ambition—it’s because the system wasn’t built to protect them.

My ultimate goal is to change that narrative.

I want to stand at the intersection of art and law as a trusted guide, helping artists navigate the often-intimidating legal terrain with clarity, confidence, and control. I want to ensure they own what they create, understand what they sign, and feel empowered to build careers that reflect their values, not just the industry’s demands.

This work is not just transactional for me—it’s personal. As a classically trained musician, a former music journalist, and now an entertainment attorney, I’ve experienced this industry from multiple angles. I know the magic of making something that moves people—and the heartbreak of seeing it mishandled. That’s why I do what I do.

Ultimately, I believe that when you protect the artist, you protect the art. And when artists are protected, we get a world that’s more honest, expressive, innovative, and free.

So I fight for that world—one contract, one trademark, one conversation at a time.
